Week 7: Monday, 20th June 2022

Both classes studied their Word Bank #7. We talked about the words, translated and made some examples. Then, they practiced saying the words with the help of their classmates. P5/1 practice was led by Pailin, and P5/2 was led by Mafia.

They continued their class with the new lesson in Everybody Up, Unit 2, Lesson 3: The Cave. We talked about the photos in the story to enhance their thinking skills. Then, we practice the words. It was led by Aungpao for P5/1 and Spain for P5/2.

They listened to the story while reading with their eyes. Then, they read altogether before we talked about the story. I asked different questions as we go along with the story to explain the story and to assess their comprehension.

In the next period, P5/2 continued studying their student book. They listened and sang our unit song — Which Way Is the Coffee Shop. This is to help them remember our target conversation. After singing, they practiced the target conversation among their friends.

Happy Birthday Krit!

Extra English

Extra English students went to Smart Classroom to practice their spelling words on www.memrise.com. It's a website that allows you to create spelling practices to encourage students to practice vocabulary in a fun and engaging way. Students really like this flatform as they can't feel the pressure in memorizing words.

According to them, they want to do it often, if every Monday is not possible.
