Week 5, Tuesday, 10th June 2025

Today in P5/1, students began their new lesson in Everybody Up: Unit 2, Lesson 1 – In the Woods. This unit introduces the theme of camping, where students will explore vocabulary and expressions related to outdoor activities, nature, and camping essentials. During the lesson, they learned new phrases, practiced the target language, and took part in simple conversations related to going camping. We used role-play activities and group interaction to help them build confidence and fluency while using the new vocabulary in context. The students were actively engaged and showed curiosity about the topic, especially when discussing their own camping experiences.

In P5/2, students began by reviewing their previous lesson in Unit 4: Marco Polo and the Silk Road. This helped reinforce their understanding of key historical figures and trade routes. Following the review, they moved on to a new topic in their Everybody Up Workbook, where they learned about Christopher Columbus. The class read and discussed key facts about Columbus’s voyages and answered all the workbook activities, showing a good level of comprehension and attention to detail.

During the Extra English class, both groups revisited what they had learned in Everybody Up by completing worksheets in their Extra English Workbooks that were related to the unit themes. This provided additional practice and helped solidify their understanding of vocabulary and content. After finishing the worksheets, students enjoyed some well-deserved free time. Having free time after focused academic work not only helps them relax but also supports their overall well-being and keeps them motivated for future lessons.Overall, it was a productive and well-balanced Tuesday. Students showed enthusiasm in learning and participated actively in all tasks. It's always great to see their growing confidence and teamwork as they progress through each lesson. Keep up the great work, everyone!
