Welcome Back to School, 14th May, 2025

Today, students from P.5/1 and P.5/2 began with a simple introduction about themselves, helping them gain confidence in speaking and sharing personal information in English. After the introductions, both classes worked with Word Bank #1. They translated the vocabulary, practiced pronunciation, and used the new words in context to strengthen their understanding. In the afternoon, P.5/2 focused on grammar, specifically learning about the correct use of capital letters. The lesson included identifying when to use capital letters in sentences, such as for names, places, and at the beginning of sentences. Students practiced through a mix of activities on the iPads and exercises on the board, which helped reinforce the grammar rules in an engaging and interactive way.

In the Extra English lesson, students practiced spelling through the interactive website www.memrise.com. This platform allowed them to engage with new words in a fun and dynamic way, using audio, visuals, and repetition to reinforce their learning. Interactive learning tools like Memrise help improve memory retention, increase motivation, and make language practice more enjoyable. By actively participating in spelling activities online, students were able to build their vocabulary skills while developing greater confidence in their English spelling abilities.
