Week 4: Thursday, 5th June 2025

This morning, the school held its annual Wai Kru Ceremony. Wai Kru, which means "Paying Respect to Teachers," is a traditional Thai ritual where students express gratitude and respect to their teachers. It’s a meaningful event that highlights the strong bond between students and educators and encourages a culture of appreciation and humility in learning.

In class, P5/1 began the day by studying the vocabulary in Word Bank #4. The students learned each word’s meaning, Thai translation, and correct pronunciation. Elma helped lead the class in practicing the words, building their confidence. After that, we started our new lesson in Everybody Up – Unit 1, Lesson 4: Travel and Trade. The class explored the story of Marco Polo and the Silk Road. We discussed key points from the story, and the students answered comprehension questions to check their understanding.

During Extra English, the students continued practicing Word Bank #4. I gave them spelling tips and helped them use the words in their own sentences. This activity not only strengthened their vocabulary but also improved their grammar, sentence structure, and creative thinking. Using words in different contexts helps students retain them more effectively and develop better communication skills.

Special note: It’s been a productive and engaging Thursday. The students showed great focus and curiosity today, especially in exploring new vocabulary and historical stories.
