Week 3: Tuesday, 27th May 2025

In P5/1, students studied and practiced Word Bank #3, with Chakrit taking the lead in guiding the class through the new vocabulary. The session emphasized the importance of learning by doing, giving students hands-on opportunities to engage with the material and build confidence through active participation. After the Word Bank practice, the class moved on to their new lesson in Everybody Up, Unit 1: Lesson 3 – Reading: "The Surfing Lesson." Students read the story and took part in a class discussion, focusing on the moral of the story: "Accept New Challenges." To reinforce their understanding, they completed the related activities in their Everybody Up Workbook.

P5/2 also worked on Word Bank #3, practicing and learning the new vocabulary words with Gao leading the session. The lesson continued with Everybody Up, Unit 1: Lesson 2 – Feelings. We reviewed the key phrases and target language: "I felt sleepy, but she felt wide-awake." Students then practiced the target conversation: "How did you feel when you acted in a play? I felt confident, but he felt shy." After practicing, they completed the accompanying workbook exercises.

During the Extra English lesson, students worked independently on the Everybody Up workbook, reviewing what they had learned. Once they finished their tasks, they were given some free time. Free time is an important part of maintaining a healthy study-life balance. It gives students a chance to recharge, reflect, and return to learning with renewed focus and energy.

Today’s lessons were a great mix of productive study, meaningful discussion, and a bit of well-deserved relaxation. Both classes showed excellent teamwork and a positive attitude throughout the day!
